Privacy Policy

Sarkari Exam Desk is an independent information reader made by Lancway. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a representative of any government authority, examination body, or recruitment organization.

The app collects publicly available recruitment and examination notices through its backend and links directly to the issuing publisher or identified third-party aggregator. Users must always verify important information, eligibility criteria, application dates, and fee requirements on the linked official source before acting.

The app stores information locally on your device so it can start quickly and remain functional offline. Lancway does not receive or harvest this local information merely because it is stored on your device:

• Downloaded notices, source status, synchronization cursors, and update history.
• Saved notices (bookmarks), selected exams, update types, regions/states, enabled publishers, and dark/light appearance preferences.
• Dismissed in-app announcements, the alerts banner state, and the last confirmed notification-topic subscription state.

The app contacts Firebase-hosted APIs to download publisher metadata, notice changes, app settings, synchronization settings, direct links, and notification-topic updates. These requests may contain selected publisher identifiers, synchronization cursors, a Firebase App Check verification token, and standard HTTP network information such as your IP address and client user agent.

The backend stores public notice, publisher, synchronization, configuration, and operational data. It does not create user accounts, login credentials, or user behavioral profiles. Request logs contain a generated request ID, service, route path, method, status, result, and duration; request bodies, query strings, authentication tokens, and sensitive headers are not intentionally written to application logs.

On Android, if you allow notifications, the device obtains a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token and sends it to the backend with the topics to add or remove: your enabled publishers, and each enabled publisher combined with the notice types you selected. The backend passes the token directly to Firebase Cloud Messaging for that subscription operation and does not maintain or store a device-token database.

When the backend discovers new notices, Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers one notification per publisher and notice type to devices subscribed to that topic. The app does not refresh in the background; notices refresh when you actively open the app. You can turn notifications, or the separate "New notices" and "Announcements" channels, off at any time in Android settings or the in-app settings screen.

On supported Android builds, the app may use Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) when advertising is enabled. The app requests non-personalized ads, but Google and its certified advertising partners may still process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and approximate location inferred from an IP address for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.

Where required by applicable laws (such as GDPR or US State Privacy laws), the app requests user consent before initiating ad requests and provides an Ad privacy options button in the Settings screen so choices can be reviewed or changed at any time. Declining or withdrawing consent never blocks or impairs your ability to read notices or use the app's core features.

Opening a notice source, publisher portal, recruitment website, direct link, or Lancway page launches your external web browser or custom tab. That destination website receives standard browser request headers and applies its own independent privacy policy and terms. Sarkari Exam Desk does not control, supervise, or assume responsibility for those external websites.

Lancway does not sell personal information. Data is processed exclusively by our infrastructure service providers as necessary to operate the application, deliver notifications, maintain platform security, or serve ads, or when disclosure is required by law:

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud: API hosting, Firestore database, App Check verification, Cloud Messaging (FCM), scheduled tasks, and operational reliability logs.
• Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform: Advertising delivery, consent management, performance measurement, security, and fraud prevention when ads are enabled.
• Publisher and aggregator websites: Only when you choose to tap and open their external links.

Cached notices and user preferences remain stored locally on your device until the app purges them according to automated retention rules, you use the in-app "Clear cache" option, you clear application storage in Android system settings, or you uninstall the app. The in-app clear cache function clears downloaded notices and source status while preserving your saved bookmarks and filters.

The backend retains public notice and operational records according to configured retention and housekeeping policies. Push tokens are never persistently retained in a backend database. Third-party services (such as Google) and external websites apply their respective retention policies to any information they process.

Because the application operates without user accounts or stored profiles, there is no account-deletion mechanism. To completely eliminate all locally held app data, simply clear storage in Android system settings or uninstall Sarkari Exam Desk from your device.

Sarkari Exam Desk is a general-audience educational and employment information reader designed for adult job seekers and students. It is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A conservative G-rated maximum ad content rating is configured to restrict ad creative maturity, but this configuration does not by itself make the app a child-directed service or perform age verification.

The app employs secure HTTPS communication channels, cryptographic Firebase App Check request attestation, restricted backend cloud endpoints, and deny-by-default Firestore client database security rules. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our application features, underlying infrastructure, or evolving legal and regulatory standards. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
